How 0x7b handles your data — with zero retention and anonymous-friendly access.
I build tools for developers, not for trackers. My philosophy is simple: I want as little of your data as possible. This Privacy Policy outlines how 0x7b collects, uses, protects, and handles your information.
1. Data Collection & Zero Retention
The majority of our tools, scripts, and automation engines run entirely within your own local environment or server architecture. We do not inject telemetry, we do not host your code execution, and we do not intercept your API keys. Meaning practically:
- No usage tracking within downloaded scripts.
- No phone-home mechanisms for license verification after initial activation.
- Zero visibility into the data you scrape, generate, or process.
2. Information We Actually Collect
To run the 0x7b shop and membership system efficiently, we must collect a highly limited set of data:
- Account Information: If you use GitHub to authenticate or receive repository access, we store your GitHub username/ID to manage collaboration rights.
- Purchase History: We maintain a secure record of your license keys and active memberships to validate your access to the script library.
- Support Communications: If you email us for support, we retain that correspondence to resolve your issue.
3. Third-Party Payment Processors
We do not store or process your credit card information on our servers. All financial transactions are handled securely by our payment processor partners (such as Stripe or Gumroad). They receive the information needed to verify and complete your purchase, governed by their respective privacy policies. We only receive a confirmation webhook containing your email, purchase ID, and product tier.
4. Cookies & Website Analytics
Cookies: The 0x7b website only uses essential cookies strictly necessary for managing your active session and authentication state (e.g., keeping you logged in). We do not use third-party tracking, retargeting, or advertising cookies.
Analytics: We use minimalist, privacy-focused analytics to understand high-level traffic patterns (e.g., which scripts are most popular). This data is completely anonymized, aggregated, and impossible to trace back to your personal identity or IP address.
5. How We Protect Your Data
Our infrastructure is hardened and minimal by design. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. Application secrets and license verifications are hashed and stored securely in managed databases following modern security practices. Because we collect so little, our attack surface regarding your personal data is exceptionally small.
6. Sharing of Information
We have never and will never sell your personal information. We do not broker data to third parties. Information is only shared with trusted service providers (like our cloud hosting or payment gatewways) solely for the purpose of keeping 0x7b functional. We will only disclose information if legally compelled by a valid court order.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data stored on our servers at any time. If you wish to purge your account and license history, contact us. Note that deleting your account will instantly revoke your access to the membership system and premium scripts.
